As humans, we all hold stress in our bodies--hips, shoulders and jaws are the most common spots. Breathing through poses and letting yourself move not only lessens those stresses but it allows your body to become less stiff. Yoga helps to increase the mobility of our joints and allows us to learn to let go. Yoga is a really great tool to help stretch and strengthen the body. You learn that you are strong enough to try new things like holding yourself in a headstand or arm balance. You learn mindfulness to help yourself breathe in stressful situations. You learn your own body and that is an incredibly powerful tool!

Yoga Class FAQs
What should I bring to a yoga class?
Mats and props are provided, but you are always welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Bring water for hydration and a small towel for sweat or for cleaning your mat.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily but is not too loose. Yoga pants or shorts with a form-fitting top that won't hang over your head when you're upside down. Yoga is traditionally done barefoot, so no shoes or sock are needed.
How do I know which class is right for me?
Just contact us and we will be happy to help you decide. Classes are limited to a maximum of 15 people per class so there is room to spread out.
How do register and pay for classes?
To register, you can call, email or Facebook message us. You can pay the day of class or over the phone, or if you book online, we can always charge your card on file.
What if I need to cancel?
No worries! Just give us a call or send a message and we'll take you out of the class.
I'm not flexible - can I do yoga?
Yes! In fact you are a perfect candidate for yoga. Many people think that they need to be flexible to begin yoga, but that’s like thinking you need to be able to play tennis in order to take tennis lessons. Come as you are and you will find that practicing yoga will help you become more flexible, as well as stronger, more coordinated and improve your overall well-being.
Can I eat before a class?
When it comes to food and digestion, each individual is different and needs to find out what works for them. In general do not eat a large meal within 2 hours of a class - if you must eat within 2 hours of a class then a light meal or snack that it easily digested is best. Its recommended to be hydrated before a class so drink some water.
